What this car was
A gold regular-cab pickup with the long bed, a five-speed manual and a tan interior. The photos show a straight body, a chrome grille, black bumpers and chrome wheel covers on steel wheels. Earlier versions of this page called the wheels chrome and the seats leather; the photos show wheel covers and what looks like vinyl.

Against it: it’s a basic two-seat work truck, and the bed and tailgate had cosmetic wear. Someone who wanted an honest, original mini-truck would have paid close to this. Before buying one, it pays to check the frame, the cab corners and the bed floor for rust, and to confirm which engine is fitted, since parts differ between the gas and diesel versions. A truck this original is also worth keeping that way.
A little Isuzu Pickup history
Isuzu’s compact pickup was sold in Japan as the Faster. In North America, Chevrolet sold it as the LUV from 1972, and Isuzu began selling the truck under its own name in the early 1980s. Gas and diesel four-cylinders were offered, along with long-bed and four-wheel-drive versions.
