This white 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML 320 CDI was listed privately in Saskatoon in late October 2026 at C$10,250. The seller is handling the sale for their father-in-law, and the ad reads like an honest one: 296,349 km, a second set of wheels on winter tires, and a list of the work done in the last two years. We are keeping the record here because the diesel ML is the one people in the Prairies keep asking about.
What it is
The 2007 and 2008 ML 320 CDI is the first-generation W164 M-Class with the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. These two years are the ones without AdBlue, which keeps the emissions side simpler than the BlueTEC that replaced it in 2009. This one is white over tan leather, which is a nicer combination than most of the black-on-black examples we see.

Work the seller lists from the last two years:
- New rack and pinion
- New rear tailgate control module
- New brake pads and rotors
- New belt and idler pulleys
- New alternator and battery
- Rear hatch handle repaired

The cluster photo confirms the mileage, and the interior shots show the tan leather in good shape with no obvious splits on the driver’s bolster. The second set of alloy wheels already has winter rubber mounted, which matters in Saskatoon in November.

Why this car matters
The 2007 ML 320 CDI was the first diesel M-Class sold in North America, and it arrived with 398 lb-ft of torque, which was more than the ML 500 V8 had. That is the whole appeal: V8 pull, six-cylinder fuel bills, and a 7-speed automatic that keeps the engine in its fat spot. Mercedes only sold this CDI version for two years before the BlueTEC urea system took over, so the 2007 and 2008 trucks are the simplest diesel MLs there are. On the Prairies that matters. A diesel that starts at minus 30, pulls a trailer without noticing and still does 1,000 km on a tank is the right tool for Saskatchewan. White over tan leather is also a spec you rarely see on these. Most were black on black.

Is C$10,250 a fair ask?
The mileage is high, and nearly 300,000 km on any German SUV means the next owner is buying the maintenance history as much as the truck. What supports the price is the recent list of work, the two sets of wheels and the fact that this is a private sale, so there is no dealer fee on top. What works against it is that the seller does not mention the oil cooler seals or the injector seals, which are the two expensive jobs every owner of this engine ends up doing. If those are done, the ask is reasonable. If they are not, there is room to negotiate.
A little ML 320 CDI history
Mercedes sold the ML 320 CDI in Canada for the 2007 and 2008 model years, then renamed it ML 320 BlueTEC for 2009 when the urea injection system arrived, and ML 350 BlueTEC from 2010. The 3.0-litre V6 made 215 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque through a 7-speed automatic, and the diesel ML was always rated to tow more than the gas V6.
