A white 2016 Porsche Cayenne Diesel turned up on a dealer lot in Richmond, BC in late October 2026, asking C$26,995 with 136,198 km. It is the last model year of the diesel Cayenne in Canada, and these were pulled from sale not long after, so clean ones are getting thinner on the ground. We keep the price and the details here so the next person pricing one has a reference.
What it is
The Cayenne Diesel pairs the second-generation Cayenne body with the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel that Porsche borrowed from Audi. It is not fast in the Porsche sense, but it pulls hard off idle and will tow and cruise on far less fuel than the V8 cars. This one is white over black leather, on the standard silver five-spoke wheels, and the dealer says it comes with 12 service records on the Carfax and an inspection report.

Equipment listed by the dealer:
- Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive
- Leather interior with power front seats
- Navigation and the PCM infotainment system with Bluetooth
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Dual-zone climate control
- LED daytime running lights and automatic headlights
- Power tailgate and split-folding rear seats

The interior photos show a tidy black cabin with the usual Cayenne wall of console buttons and a reversing camera on the screen. The dealer notes the price excludes a C$495 documentation fee, a C$395 prep fee, a C$10 VSA levy and taxes, so the out-the-door figure will be a couple of thousand higher.

Why this car matters
The Cayenne Diesel is the only diesel Porsche ever sold in North America, and 2016 was its last year. Porsche built it because European buyers wanted one, then brought it here for 2013 when the Touareg TDI and Q7 TDI had proven there was a market. It makes 240 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, which is more torque than the gas Cayenne S of the same year, and Porsche rated it to tow 7,700 pounds. On the highway it will run close to 1,000 km on a tank. The diesel scandal killed it in 2016 and the buyback thinned the herd, so a last-year car with a full service history is already a small piece of Porsche history. What makes it cool is the contradiction: a Porsche badge on a truck that tows a boat on Friday and does 30 mpg on Sunday.

Is C$26,995 a fair ask?
This is a dealer price for the newest diesel Cayenne you can buy in Canada, and the mileage is middling rather than low. What helps the ask is the service history on the Carfax, the clean title and the fact that 2016 cars have the later interior and the 8-speed. What hurts it is the added fees, the lack of any mention of the diesel emissions recall work, and the fact that these cars are now a decade old with a complex emissions system that is expensive when it fails. We would want to see the recall status and a recent oil leak check before paying full freight.
A little Cayenne Diesel history
Porsche sold the Cayenne Diesel in Canada and the United States from the 2013 to the 2016 model year, all with the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel and an 8-speed automatic. The V8 Cayenne S Diesel never came here. The V6 was part of the 2016 diesel emissions settlement, which took a lot of them off the road through buybacks, so the survivors are mostly cars whose owners chose the fix and kept them.
